Morning Mountains
There is a reason that "real photographers" always have a camera with them. That's because one can never be sure what images will be presented to them or when it will happen. I wasn't out looking for beautiful landscapes to record but there it was. This was a "saddle shot". That means I didn't even have to get out of the vehicle. I was driving a school bus at the time and I paused and made the students look up from their smart phones and enjoy the mountains for a moment while I recorded it for sharing later.

Barbs of Frost on Barbs of Wire
News photographers are often called upon to get a "weather picture" if the weather is unusual. An unexpected cold snap brought the first "frosty" morning of Winter to Gaston County, N.C. and the cold stabbed like the barb on a fence.
